Thematic Drawing reflection (3-D) october 30, 2012
1. The strong parts of my drawing is the diamonds because it took me forever to draw them and they are very beautiful diamonds.
2. I feel like i could have finished coloring my road and mountains, because it looks horrible and unfinished.
3. My theme/unity is about leaving the city of las vegas, i didnt really capture it how i wanted to but thats why i have sand going into the grass, because it shows leaving the city.
4. I used the purple and red to make them stand out from all of the earth tone colors that i used. My major color is tan because that is what the sand is supposed to be. My light values are the grass and sand, and my dark value is the sky blue.
5. i feel like my area or emphasis is on the sun, because i used the road going into the sunset to kind of pull your eyes toward it. i did that because i felt like it will help symbolize the point of leaving the city.
6. i learned that i could have used my time better, and in life i learned that time managment is important.
7. My design process started by me drawing the diamonds, then i drew the cards and mountains in the back. I then colored my diamonds because i knew for sure i liked them where they were. Then the last part was when i colored the sand and grass in the back.
8. I feel like yes it was a worthwhile project. it gives us freedom to chose what we want to draw.
